Where we came from and where we're headed.
Hometown Acres started, literally, in a caring mothers' back yard.
It started when John DeFrancisco built a shed in early 2016. He thought he would only be serving the local restaurants with the garnish greens that they use on top of steaks and pork chops. (you know...the fancy stuff.)
The reality of it all was that these greens were the most nutrient dense greens possible and they needed to be spread to grocers and families needing a locally produced, healthy product.
The food we eat should be locally produced, and available to us and our children. Hometown Acres is proud to be partnering with providers all over the Chicagoland area to serve our local schools and institutions with the healthiest greens on earth! That, right now, is where Hometown Acres is. Serving your local grocers, restaurants and all people who want real food on their plates, and we are honored to do so.
